OX IT Solutions sponsors Circus Starr

OX IT Solutions is pleased to confirm our sponsorship of Circus Starr for another year to support disadvantaged and disabled children in Oxfordshire.

We pledged seats for 14 children and their carers to attend two Circus Starr performances earlier this month in Oxford and sponsored the events.

Circus Starr, the ‘circus with a purpose’, hosted two performances in Oxford for children with disabilities and from disadvantaged backgrounds. Children and their families and carers attended shows at Bayards Primary School in Headington where they were treated to exciting performances from dancers, jugglers, acrobats and a clown.

As the main sponsor in Oxfordshire, our donation helped to fund this year’s performances and will support the charity throughout the year. This builds on the support we offered the charity last year which enabled 10 children to attend the event.

Director of OX IT Solutions Chris Cope said: “Circus Starr is a fantastic organisation that is making a real difference in the lives of young people and their families in our community and we are pleased to have been able to sponsor it again this year. We hope our ongoing support of Circus Starr will enable them to continue to offer this fantastic experience locally and nationally.”

The not-for-profit community interest company has been creating inclusive circus events for children across the UK for 35 years. Their family-friendly shows offer children the opportunity to attend safe and accessible circus performances at no cost. Tickets to Circus Starr performances are sent to children and their families through a network of hospices, schools, hospitals, regional branches of national charities and support groups.

Fundraising Director Circus Starr Michelle Crossley said: “Circus Starr is passionate about sharing live arts with children who usually miss out through no fault of their own. It is thanks to community driven businesses like OX IT Solutions that our accessible and inclusive show was able to make a difference in Oxford, and we thank them for their kind support.”
